Line Art

The photo above shows my line art project that I created in my Introduction to the Visual Art class. This was our last project of the semester, and it is inspired by the work of Wassily Kandinsky. For this project, I used my previous knowledge of line art from the beginning of the year and incorporated the use of shapes and shading in space. I enjoyed this project because it was very relaxing. The first step was to create a design on a quarter piece of paper, and then photocopy it four times. I then organized the papers so they fit together in an aesthetically pleasing way. After this, I decided to use a split-complementary color scheme to at vibrance to my artwork. I am proud of how I used the different techniques that I’ve learned in this class this semester to create this piece of art.
