What I Wish I Knew About Website Making

After many months, I have completed my website for my Multimedia Applications class. Here are three things I wish I would’ve done differently before starting my website:

1. I wish I would’ve asked more questions about the distinction between pages and posts and when categories are used. I would’ve wasted a lot less time if I had made sure I understood at the beginning.

2. I wish I would’ve picked a good theme or a theme that I liked the layout of at the beginning. I spent a lot of time changing the theme and trying to figure out which one I liked. I think it’s important to remember to find a theme that fits your topic and how you plan to layout your website.

3. I wish I would’ve known it would be hard to find pictures I could use on my website. There were only a few that were labeled for noncommercial reuse. I could’ve altered my topic to make that easier or taken more photos myself.
