Above is the final project I completed for my Painting and Printmaking class. I sketched out Rick Sanchez’s face from the television show Rick and Morty. i then transferred the sketch onto a linoleum block and began to carve out the areas that would be left white. It was difficult to get into the small areas like the eyes, but I am proud of the work I did. After carving, I applied ink to the block and pressed it onto a sheet of paper. It took a couple of tries, but I picked out my best result to post.
